Disappointed

Thats how i would describe how im feeling at the moment. Im disappointed because noone has made much of an effort to win me over in the quest for an invitation to Abbey's Xmas Party. People should be sucking up to me and buying me presents... But its not happening. It should be, if you wanna go. You have 3 days to get some game and treat me.

Anyway, i have to blog and brag about me betting over the 2 days. I have won a combined $57, with 3 won bets and 1 lost bet. Just had to mention that. And that im not hearing much about Kelly and Brock's TAB accounts, so im guessing they are slowly succumbing to the system. Fools.

Since i last posted, it seems that Benny Cousins has found a home with Richmond. Good on him. I probably wouldnt have cared too much if he didnt get drafted, cos he sort of deserved it. But he did, and i just hope he smokes it (no pun intended) and everyone gets off his back for a while.

The only gay thing about the whole Ben Cousins saga, is how much its been in the media. Back and front page mention every day this week, and even on foxtel i see his noggin or hear about him every 5 minutes. Its pretty pathetic that there wasnt better news than where he was possibly, hypothetically, and maybe going to go. But i suppose Kelly's fight wasnt exactly back news material, and Calum's duck on the weekend wasnt much to write about...

Today i went over Mulks, again, and we played some poker. Tom forgot to bring his brain, and went all in on shit cards and was knocked out early. Calum was the early leader, while Kelly languished chip-wise towards the bottom for a long while. James won some back off Calum and Kelly perished soon after, leaving myself James and Calum in the game, with me on probably half the chips they each had. But you cant keep a player down for too long, and i called Calum's all in and won on the river with a straight, i was pretty happy.

The final between me and James dragged on for ages, as i just couldnt finish him, but the end result was as it was always going to be, a win to yours truly.

A repeat of the performance will happen soon, as a poker night is in the works...

Im out.

Last

Last night we played our last game for the year. And we won again, so we are pretty happy. We played Saints development, but they were without 4 of their biggest players, so it would have been interesting to have seen who won if we were both at full-strength.

Player of the Week: Jarryd Kelly. Shot the lights out, but only when he was open. Whenever he took an uncontested 3, he nailed it, to finish with 7 from long range. Thats 21 extra points to us, if you didnt realise. He also contributed well in transition to get a few fast baskets.
honourable mentions: Brock Monck: His offensive game and on-ball screens were very classy. Sean McMulkin. Didnt spend much time on, but played well when he did, including a 3

Play of the Week: I'd have to call it a draw this week, between 1. Brock's massive drive and lay from the top of the key through 3 defenders - something we've never seen hi do before but all know he can, 2. Lachie's improvised ally-oop off an errant pass for 2 points. Slick.
Honouable mentions: Brock's block, any of Jarryd's threes.

Completely off the topic of basketball, we found out yesterday that Jeremy Armstrong died yesterday. He was hit by a taxi early sunday morning and was taken to Perth Royal hospital, and he was in a critical but stable condition, but things worsened, and his family had to turn off the life support.

For those who didnt know him, he was a pretty stand up sort of guy. He was my best friend all through priary school, and Kelly knows him pretty well from hockey too. So it's pretty bullshit that this gay stuff keeps happening to good people.

im out.

Lately

Well the weekend was sort of eventful i guess. Friday night i had to work, and i was hell mad about it, cos everyone decided they would go out once again. Cowtown was on, which made me even madder, but i decided i would go after work and catch up. But as it happened, i used my Jedi mind tricks and brazen charm to get off at 8, and i went out with the guys.

It was a bit anticlimax actually, cos i knew as many Cowtown songs as Cal does women, which is to say, not very many. (sorry Cal, i havnt ripped on you in a while...) . But the beers went down good so that was okay with me... And soon as Kelly got given the ultimate Ultimatum by the lovely Morgs (i wont say what, but you can probably guess) and bailed on us, we decided the time was cherry ripe to leave.

And Saturday i saw Chels for a bit, went to Steph's house. Which is quite wicked, she has a sun heated pool, even though it had a bug that bit me hell bad, thought i was might die. And a huge ass clock. (yes, i did mean clock, you dirty minded freaks) And a bench with like indents in it that doubles as like a sink drainer, it was pretty cool. If your into houses and shit anyway..

And today i S.F.A. Actually went and saw Mulks again for a bit. We played horse at the leisure centre, where i preceded to dominate them... and because Tom isnt with you at the moment, he cant tell you otherwise. Then i got mad when i realised its my last game for like ever tomoro night, actually im still hell mad now thinking about it, i am punching the keys hell hard in anger. But not as angry as Kelly was in his little smish last week...

Today was also the day that Lebron and the Cavs lost their first game in ages... im pretty mad about that too, because the Cavs were in both my bets. I lost them both cos of that, the tossers.

Anyway, thats about all i can think of saying atm. Oh, except Chelsea doesnt want to go with me to the Staff Xmas Party at Abbey, so auditions to be my faux-girlfriend/boyfriend for the night are being held this week... so treat me real nice.

Okay, im out. peace.

Holy Shit

Holy shit. Im sorry. I havnt updated for ages... But its not all my fault. Jackson, my brother, the golden child, smashed the screen on our computer so i wasnt able to use it. So blame him, i just did.

Anyway, whats happened in the last week? Scandal.

For one, Kelly got himself into a smish the other day. I wont say who with, but apparently it was over driving directions haha. Like they just argued about which turn to take then started punching each other in the face... I feel for thr other person but. Ive seen Kelly mad, and there's a reason we call him the Red Hulk. Think about it.

Then i got a msg from Brock the other day pleading me to take him home from the cornerstore. I wasnt in the mood to pick up a streetwalker, but i was such a good friend i did anyway. It was worth it, because he bought me a poweraide for my troubles... It turns out he went to the dentist, took Valium cos he is scared of needles (the pussy) and wasnt allowed to drive for 24 hours cos he was higher than Toms half-mast at a kindergarten. Haha.

Umm, we also got foxtel, thats pretty big. Im a huge fan of the NBA and World Series Poker they have on it... My Mum loves the poker too (im not gonna make a rude joke here like you all would you fags) - she stayed up til like 2 the other night following a final. Not even i was that obsessed. I reckon she would beat me now but...

And the last couple of days i have just umpired and worked, cos Chelsea has been doing the Cool School Race Camp. Which her team apparently won, the race bit anyway... Not a bad effort! And just to let everyone know, we would have won way back in 06, but we got jipped. Believe it!

Im hell mad too. I just found out i have to work Xmas Day and New Years Eve... Which needless to say, is gayer than Brock was at Mazzas party. Real gay.

Anyway, im out. I love you all.

All Work and No Play

makes Boomers Black go crazy. I knew our first week with a bye would suck, and it does. But oh well. Me and Brock went and chot some consolation shots before i had to umpire, so that stemmed the pain a little.

Last night Cal played his first game though, and he was pretty impressive, especially in a new team. He was pretty much the only player who had any sense of 'team' or 'putting up a decent shot', but they were playing the best team so Cal's team made more mistakes than Brock has with Morgan.

I also got to see Chels for once, even though she was pretty scared. But she had balls, which is pretty impressive. Metaphorically, i mean. And Jess Burge was there, so me and Cal did the right thing and recommended Brock... Not that she needed much convincing, Brock's guns speak for themselves these days...

I get to work heaps this weekend cos of the ironman being on town, and there is heaps of people competing, staying there.
